Luxcaddy.lu is an online supermarket delivering groceries throughout Luxembourg. Luxcaddy started over 14 years ago on a simple e-commerce platform based on a small, inhouse developed, PHP framework. ( in PHP 4 ;)

The "platform" has been continuously developed since and has grown to become a rather big application, with many features.

For this application to keep up with the development of the company, we started to rewrite big parts of the code to switch from this old custom-built framework to a Laravel / Vue.js setup to become more compliant with modern programming standards. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be part of a small development team and help with the transition of the codebase to the Laravel / Vue setup. Apart from coding, you will also be involved in planning and structuring the workflow, developing and maintaining our IT infrastructure and implementing best practices.

YOUR PROFILE

• Senior with at least 3 years of professional experience 
• Excellent skills in PHP7 and Laravel
• Proficiency in RESTful Stateless Api development
• Some experience with Vue.js
• Deep understanding of software design patterns
• Excellence in database optimisation ( SQL )
• Good understanding of:
  
  • UI design
  • Version control ( Git / GitHub )
  • Deployment tools

  • Mobile application development ( iOS, Android )
  • IT Security
  • Networking
